My Haute Closet

“Haute Fashion…Haute Places and Things…Haute Recipes”

Blog: www.MyHauteCloset.com

Twitter: www.Twitter.com/fashionprgirlla

My Haute Closet is the latest of the fashion blogs that I’ve had the privilege of  wondering through…and the wondering was good! It’s ran by a “Fashion PR Girl from NYC living in LA,” so I’m sure you can imagine the amount of adventure and swag behind it.

Set mostly in Los Angeles, blogger, Milysan spends her days visiting the Melrose Trading Post, fashion unveilings at the FDIM Museum, and yummy taquerias in her West Hollywood Neighborhood. The Haute Fashion section of the blog focusses on LA street style, runway shows, and fashion deals and steals. Uniquely set apart from most fashion blogs that I have covered, My Haute Closet posts and boasts some of the most succulent and sweet recipes, like M&M cupcakes and pecan pie. Yum!

Still relatively a new blog, My Haute Closet promises to be a cool coast to coast fashion updater, coastal city guide, and naughty food book to those who follow religiously.

Interior Design Blogs

Interior Design blogs are on the rise! Most mixing interior design, furniture, and even fashion, they are catching the attention of cities all over the world with their creative spin on home life inspiration.

Here are our favorite interior design blogs (in no particular order):

So Haute Style

(Nicole Gibbons)

New York City based blogger Nicole Gibbons brought to life So Haute Style in 2008. Influenced by her mom, an interior designer, Nicole was bitten by the design bug at an early age. The Entertaining section of her blog is possibly the cutest and most inspiring part of her blog, in my opinion. The section includes everything one needs to know for when throwing a swanky party: recipes, table-setting ideas, DIY floral designs, and even stationary. Her work has been featured on HGTV, ElleDecor.com, and The Nest, to name a few of several. In 2009, So Haute Style was named one of the best all-around home blogs. Her latest blog post featured fashion designer, Kelly Wearstler’s Malibu beach house. Totally fab!

(Holly Becker)

Launched in 2006 by author, freelance journalist, and design consultant Holly Becker, Decor 8 Blog has been around since before the recent booming popularity of interior design blogs. It definitely shows with her amazing fan base and amount of content! You’ll find inspiring posts on decorating ideas, indie art and design, and fabulous interior spaces. She also features DIY (do it yourself) projects, store and home tours, book reviews, and trade show coverage. Not leaving her readers out of any of the knowledge that she has obtained over the years of being a blogger, she offers Blogging Your Way, an e-course. Holly is also a weekly columnist at Real Simple online. She has completed assignments for HGTV and HGTV Ideas Magazine as a style editor. Her 1st book, Decorate: 1000 Inspirational Ideas for Every Room in Your Home, is just the icing on the cake to a long list of accomplishments.

(Coco)

Cococozy was created by Los Angeles blogger Coco, self-professed “executive by day and interior junkie by night.” Her stylish blog has achieved much deserved recognition in High Gloss Magazine, InStyle Magazine, on ElleDecor.com and Apartment Therapy. Her blog posts include inspiration from fashion, home interiors from chic interior stores, and home makeovers, all brought to life from her cozy cottage in the Hollywood Hills.  Adding even more to Cococozy, Coco designs pillows, throws, bedding, and drapery, and sells it on the blog. She also carries a collection of vintage home pieces. So cool!

Domestic Sluttery

“Domestic Sluttery: The home and lifestyle blog for women who have better things to do.”

Domestic Sluttery: Cheat Your Way to the Perfect Lifestyle

The name definitely catches one’s attention: Domestic Sluttery! I have to say that I was immediately intrigued by it though. The blog is as said home and lifestyle, but written with a refreshing and fun edge. A few days a go, one of the ladies spoke of healthy eating in a way that was absolutely hilarious, yet true to how healthy eaters feel when they go astray.

Titled Sluttishly Savory, she wrote: “Ladies, I was a dirty stop-out last week and went out every single night. It ruined me. I am too old to grab a sandwich on the way to a gig, or some filthy chips on the night bus home, and expect to get away with it. I am a shell, and my poor body is desperate for healthy food…” (Read More)

You can also get into some cocktail recipes, fabulous digs (clothes), and travel adventures from these gals. I totally enjoy reading Domestic Sluttery! It’s for the domestic gal with some KICK!

They also have a book! Click on the Domestic Sluttery link below to check it out!
